What's the best size for my ad box? In other words, how can I increase the bidding values on my ad boxes?

While prices are determined by what people are willing to pay, there are a few simple things you can do to make your ad box more attractive.

Economies rely on the system of "supply and demand". If supply meets or exceeds demand, then everyone gets to buy what they want and go away happy. This is like having an ad box with 4 slots, and having 4 (or fewer) bidders. Everyone will get their ad displayed, and the going rate on the ad box will be $0.

However, if supply does not meet demand, then people will pay more for getting what they want. If you have an ad box with 2 slots but the same 4 bidders, then those bidders will have to complete to have their ad displayed. This drives prices upwards.

So, if you see your ad box is earning lower prices than what you'd like, on thing you can do is reduce the number of available slots. Conversely, if you'd like to reduce prices, adding more slots is a good way to do that. You can do this under "My ad boxes -> Edit ad box", but remember that you can only alter the dimensions of your ad box while there are no active bids on it.

Increasing the size of the ads displayed, and making sure the placement of the ad box is ideal on your site, also tends to attract higher bids.

How much commission does Project Wonderful take on advertising bids? Are there any fees associated with using the service?

Our commission on every ad sale is 25% - well below industry averages! In the interest of fairness, we also eat all the PayPal and credit card fees when you transfer in money, so your $5 is worth $5 of Project Wonderful credit. When you factor that in, our take is even less.

There are no other fees associated with using the service.

If I have my content mirrored on another URL, can I put the same ad code in both places to let people buy ads that have more inherent value because they show up in two places with two different audiences?

Yep! Your hit count on this ad box will reflect the added exposure its ads are getting, so your bids will likely go up. As long
as the ad box is at least present at the URL you provide, there should be no
problems!

Keep in mind that the rating of your ad box should reflect ALL the sites it appears on. If it's mirrored on a site that's NSFW, then the ad box should be rated NSFW. Similarly, if the ad box appears on a site rated "Safe for Children" as well as on a site that's not safe for children, the ad box should not be rated "Safe for Children". Be sure to consider all the sites your ad box appears on when rating it!

Can I use my account to sell ads on a second site?

You'll need to re-apply with that site in order for it to be accepted into Project Wonderful.

However, once it's accepted, you can manage as many sites as you want under one account!
