What are ad box approval settings?
Ad box approval settings let you control which (and whose!) bids on your ad boxes get automatically approved, and which we go to you for, for manual approval.
There are four levels of approval settings, from least to most generous:
Let me approve every bid: no bid will go live until you've had a chance to approve or reject it. This setting is not recommend, as it requires a lot of work from you, and slows down bidding!
Auto-approve any ad I've approved in the past: any ad that you've approved before can run again on your site without needing re-approval.
Auto-approve any ad from any advertiser I've approved in the past: any ad from any advertiser that you've approved before can run again on your site without needing re-approval. This allows you to trust individual bidders, rather than having to vet each of their ads.
Auto-approve every ad: no approval is needed for an ad to go live. This is the recommended setting, as it keeps bidding fluid and fun! Remember that as a publisher, you can cancel any bid at any time, so if you DO see something you don't like, it's not hard to get rid of it.
You can change your ad box approval settings for each ad box by visiting your "My ad boxes" page and clicking on "edit". They're listed under "ad settings"!
