What's the infinite auction?

The infinite auction is how advertising is bought and sold on Project Wonderful! It's a new system designed with transparency, fairness and profitability in mind for everyone involved.

Basically, the infinite auction is like any other auction, only it goes on forever: hence the name! Classic auctions end when the bidding runs out: for example, you say "I bid $1" and your friend says "I bid $5" and then the auction is over and your friend has won.

In the infinite auction, the bidding never ends. So you say "I bid $1 for a week" and your friend says "I bid $5 for a day", and your friend has won the auction - but only for as long as his bid is valid. After his bid expires, you become the high bidder and you're now winning the auction!
